Why You'll Love This Job

Specialty Eyecare Group is not a traditional optometry practice. We are a specialty-focused clinic built around solving problems that many offices choose not to manage. Our care is centered on myopia management, dry eye treatment, specialty contact lenses including scleral lenses, and binocular vision disorders. Patients are often referred to us because they need a higher level of care, more advanced technology, and a team that can guide them through complex treatment options.

Because of this, the experience we provide matters just as much as the clinical care itself. Our patients are investing in their long-term vision and quality of life. They expect clarity, confidence, and a seamless process from start to finish. Every interaction, from the first phone call to final eyewear delivery, plays a role in that experience.

We operate as a team-first environment where cross-training is essential. No role is siloed. Everyone is expected to understand how the practice runs as a whole and step in where needed to support patient flow, maintain efficiency, and ensure a high standard of care.

We are hiring for a Patient Care Coordinator / Optician (Hybrid Role). This position is a key part of the patient journey and combines front desk coordination with optical expertise. You will guide patients through scheduling, insurance, and check-in, while also helping them make informed decisions about their eyewear and treatment options. This role requires someone who is comfortable balancing service and sales, can communicate clearly about financial expectations, and takes ownership of the patient experience from beginning to end.

This is not just a task-based role. It is a position for someone who wants to be involved in patient outcomes, contribute to the growth of the practice, and play an active role in delivering a level of care that stands out.

This role requires flexibility to support both our Kirkland and Bellevue locations, depending on patient demand and scheduling needs.
